As you step inside, the studio welcomes you with a light and airy atmosphere, courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows that frame panoramic views of the azure sea and rugged cliffs.
The Mission:
Samuel Williams Design was commissioned to provide the artistic direction in the creation of visuals illustrating an interior design concept and an exterior visualization of the Château d’Humily, located in France, near Geneva. The aim of this mission was to translate and express our client’s vision to make it tangible, by creating high-quality photorealistic images within a record timeframe. We started from scratch, beginning with a roundtable discussion, listening attentively to the vision and needs of our client to understand the project’s stakes. Our second step was to create storyboards in the form of sketches, enriched by reference images (moodboard) to illustrate our vision and approach to the visualizations, to show our client the different types of atmospheres envisaged, the desired atmosphere, the viewing angles, and the details imagined to realize these images. Once our artistic direction was defined, we guided our artist partners to ensure that the images produced corresponded with our artistic direction and the client’s vision.
The Concept:
The idea was to highlight and resonate with the exterior environment of this unique location. Indeed, this building, a mansion, is set in what could be described as a magical setting, imbued with charm and an aura that evokes peace and calm, radiating a unique serenity. Isolated and in the heart of nature, yet only 15 minutes from Geneva, entering these lands is almost like a journey, the sensation of being cut off from the world is striking. It is at this moment that an emotion overwhelms us, filling us with positive energy. A real emotion is palpable around this mansion. It was on the basis of these elements that we decided to rely on to create our images. The transcription of these elements inside these spaces was our guiding thread.
Natural materials such as rattan, wood, and linen add warmth and texture, while carefully placed decorative elements celebrate Mallorca’s rich cultural heritage.
This palette consists of varying shades, tints, and tones of a single color. They are often used in various creative fields such as graphic design, interior design, fashion, and more.
Pastel colors are soft, muted hues that are often associated with spring and calmness. They can create a gentle and soothing effect.
